Whenever a lurer tries to scam another player, they usually target players who have posted about selling or buying high value items on the forums or they find them in-game by scouting at hot spots like at Varrock GE, in Prifddinas centre, or at the Max Guild. NEVER EVER EVER click Follow, Use Item on another player, or attempt to trade, duel or request assistance whilst you are standing inside the Wilderness Safe Zone or Red Portal Safe Zone, no matter how convinced you are that you will be able to anti-lure a lurer and under no circumstances should you ever drop any of your items.
The luring community in this game is extremely toxic and dishonourable and they would risk a person’s personal safety in the real world if it meant protecting a lure that they use to earn real life money with after real world trading their lured in-game wealth.
